Il vino è una bevanda che caratterizza la cultura occidentale fin dall'antichità. Già i greci parlavano del "dono di Dioniso" con entusiasmo e precisione, tanto da distinguerne le caratteristiche qualitative in base alla sua provenienza. Dopo un periodo di disinteresse e di volgarizzazione, il vino oggi torna ed essere rivalutato come bevanda edonistica e conviviale. In quest'ottica è importante conoscerlo e saperne parlare utilizzando una terminologia corretta e condivisa. Il glossario enologico nasce per rispondere a questa esigenza. Per questo si configura come uno strumento pratico e immediato affinché studiosi e appassionati possano orientarsi tra i principali vini italiani, acquisendo nozioni di viticoltura, vinificazione e degustazione.
