Il 4 agosto 2020 un'esplosione nel porto devasta, ancora una volta, Beirut. È l'ultima drammatica manifestazione dell'incompetenza e della corruzione politica libanese. Poco meno di un anno prima il Libano ha vissuto la rivoluzione che dal 17 ottobre 2019 ha riportato in piazza migliaia di persone. Per raccontare l'esperienza straordinaria di questo risveglio di massa, Camille Ammoun cammina. Percorre e ripercorre strade e piazze di una Beirut che, in quell'ottobre, si ritrova di nuovo incredibilmente animata da gente che si confronta, rivendica i propri diritti, critica il potere corrotto, esprime la propria vitalità e creatività. Le sue immagini di città si dispiegano come frasi, come intreccio di linguaggi da interpretare per trarre i segni che hanno condotto alla rivolta e quelli che hanno determinato, con l'ultima esplosione, una catastrofe sociale ancora in corso.
